Everybody, it’s the perfect day for some Pumpkin Bread! 🎃 Try this full recipe from my star baker Marion Dahl! Post a photo of your desserts to be a Baker Spotlight!
16 ounces of pumpkin
3 tbsp salted sunflower seeds
3 tbsp chopped almonds
3 tbsp dry oatmeal
3 cups of sugar
1 cup of butter
3 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp allspice
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
2/3 cups water
-Grease and flour 2, 9 by 5 loaf pans.
-Then sprinkle bottoms of pans with 3 tbsp each of salted sunflower seeds, chopped almonds, and dry oatmeal.
-Blend 3 cups of sugar and 1 cup of butter in a mixer till well blended
-Add 4 eggs one at a time
-Add 16 ounces of pumpkin
-Add 3 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 2 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp allspice, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cloves, and 1 tsp ginger
-Add 2/3 cup water. Only mix till just all combined, don’t over mix at this point.
-Put mix into the prepared pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean
Note: all spices should be ground powder form. This can be served with butter or a smear of cream cheese but delicious just the way it is.
